Yellow Jackets

Yellow Jackets are a type of wasp that is sometimes mistaken for bees. A bee will sting once and die but a wasp can sting numerous times. The female wasp will sting; not the male.Yellow Jackets destroy insects that damage crops and ornamental plants. Spring Forward Sunday, March 9th

Don’t forget to move your clocks up one hour Sunday, March 9th. We lose an hour of sleep but gain an extra hour of daylight in the evening. It’s a trade-off that I am looking forward to this year! And I’m guessing you are too!

Lady Bugs and Box Elders

By now, some of you have experienced an influx of lady bugs or box elders covering your home or business. Do not be alarmed! The bugs are a nuisance but not a danger to you, your family, pets or your home. This time of year they appear looking for warmth. This time of year you will find them basking in the sun on structures that get the most sun. This is a temporary situation and they will disappear soon. However, this year the number of lady bugs is much higher than normal so if you don’t usually see them or have an issue and you have this year, that is why. More than likely you will not have this experience next year!
